List of Transient Zoned Condo Buildings in Victoria, BC
*** IMPORTANT UPDATE: On May 1st, 2024 new proposed legislation from the BC Government will remove ALL non-conforming status from the buildings below. You can find out more in my video here. ***
This will effectively ban all rentals of less than 90 days in these buildings unless they are the host’s primary residence.
Considering buying an Airbnb or VRBO rental property in Victoria BC? Check the zoning first to ensure you are allowed to operate one. The City of Victoria no longer allows new transient zoned buildings, but existing properties may be grand-fathered in if a short term rental was operating there prior to the zoning change. Here is a complete list of all the transient-zoned condo buildings that allow short term vacation rentals in Downtown Victoria for less than 30 days.

Short Term vs Long Term Rentals
Always check with the strata bylaws and regulations of each individual building before renting your condo out on Airbnb or any short term rental platform. This information should also be confirmed with the City of Victoria to ensure accuracy.
